Voices of Change: The shooting, the aftermath and the movement https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2018/03/21/voices-of-change-the-shooting-the-aftermath-and-the-movement/ https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2018/03/21/voices-of-change-the-shooting-the-aftermath-and-the-movement/#respond Wed, 21 Mar 2018 19:15:00 +0000 https://www.orlandosentinel.com?p=3226349&preview_id=3226349 After a gunman with an AR-15 rifle slaughtered 17 students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14, survivors of the massacre vowed #NeverAgain.

From the terror, tears and trauma, a movement for change was born. Parkland students are leading the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C., on March 24 to demand an end to gun violence, sweeping millions along to join in the fight.

Teachers, parents and students say their crusade for common-sense gun laws and safer schools offers a salve for the pain and devastation left by the shooting.

Here are some of their voices.
