After an unexpected rise, Florida gas prices are falling again.
The state average for a gallon of gas started at $3.16 on Monday before rising 8 cents by Wednesday.
It’s since declined 6 cents, and the average is now $3.19 per gallon.
Mark Jenkins, AAA – The Auto Club Group spokesman, said the price increase didn’t make much sense “considering how oil and gasoline futures prices have steadily fallen through the past few weeks.”
Jenkins said oil prices are at “multi-month lows, which should help keep gas prices low through the holidays.”
The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach – Boca Raton ($3.37), Naples ($3.27) and Tallahassee ($3.24).
The least expensive are Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.94), Pensacola ($2.97) and Panama City ($3.02).
