The man was traveling northbound on Nova Road approaching State Road 520 in a 2008 Chevy Silverado, FHP said.

The man failed to maintain control of the pickup truck while negotiating a right-hand curve, FHP said. As a result, the pickup truck traveled off the the roadway right.

The driver then overreacted to the left and proceeded in a northwesterly direction while overturning, FHP said. The man was ejected from the Chevy Silverado and was pronounced dead on-scene.

This crash remains under investigation.

A 52-year-old woman from St. Augustine driving a 2015 Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound on east International Speedway west of West Parkway in the inside lane, FHP said. The 73-year-old man was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was stopped in the eastbound inside lane of east International Speedway west of West Parkway. The motorcycle was ahead of the Nissan Rogue.

A 2017 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 74-year-old man from DeLand, was stopped in the eastbound inside lane in the same intersection ahead of the motorcycle, FHP said. A 2017 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 35-year-old man from Ocala, was also stopped in the eastbound inside lane in the same intersection ahead of the Jeep Cherokee.

A fifth vehicle, a 2018 Ford Mustang driven by a 58-year-old man from DeLand, was stopped in the same intersection in the eastbound inside lane ahead of the 2017 Jeep Cherokee, FHP said.

The Harley Davidson, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler and Ford Mustang were stopped for the red traffic light at the intersection, FHP said. The St. Augustine woman failed to stop for the motorcycle.

As a result, the front of the Rogue struck the rear of the Harley Davidson, FHP said. Subsequently, the front of the Nissan then struck the rear of the Jeep Cherokee. This caused the front of the Cherokee to collide into the rear of the Wrangler. The front of the Wrangler was then pushed into the rear of the Ford Mustang.

The St. Augustine woman was transported to AdventHealth DeLand with minor injuries, FHP said. The 74-year-old man from DeLand and a 67-year-old passenger in the Cherokee were transported to Halifax Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Harley Davidson was transported to Halifax Hospital and pronounced dead, FHP said.

The driver of the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Mustang were not injured and remained on the scene, FHP said.

This crash remains under investigation.

There will be a wide range of temperatures in the area today, NWS said. A few afternoon showers are expected south of Orlando and Cape Canaveral.

The high today will be 81 and the low will be 68 degrees.

The man was traveling eastbound on Interstate-4 approaching Interstate in the outside lane in a 2013 Toyota Camry, FHP said.

For unknown reasons, the man failed to maintain the designated lane and ran off the roadway right onto the eastbound grass shoulder, FHP said. The sedan continued onto the grass shoulder and collided with a concrete pole.

The driver was pronounced dead on-scene, FHP said.

This crash remains under investigation.

A 20-year-old woman from Kissimmee was traveling westbound on east Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway approaching Simpson Road in the inside lane in a 2021 Honda Civic, FHP said.

The 40-year-old woman was walking in a northerly direction and entered the westbound lane of east Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, FHP said. The woman was not in a marked crosswalk and entered the direct path of the Honda Civic.

As a result, the front of the Honda Civic struck the pedestrian, FHP said. The driver was not injured and remained on-scene. The 40-year-old woman was transported to Osceola Regional Hospital and was later pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation.

A witness to the crash advised that the suspect turned into a nearby gas station after the crash occurred on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and Westside Boulevard, FHP said.

Investigators were able to obtain video of the suspect that shows the suspect at the gas station. The suspect vehicle is possibly a Toyota SUV or truck believed to have minor damage to the front right.

The unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway approaching Westside Boulevard, possibly in the center lane, FHP said. A 2016 Nissan Altima, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was traveling eastbound on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway approaching Westside Boulevard in the outside lane. The pedestrian was walking south on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, west of Westside Blvd.

The pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk and entered the direct path of the unknown vehicle, FHP said. As a result, the front of the vehicle collided with the pedestrian.

The impact caused the pedestrian to come into the direct path of the Nissan Altima. Subsequently, the front of the Nissan Altima collided with the pedestrian, FHP said. The witness advised that the pedestrian may have been struck by multiple vehicles after the second impact.

The pedestrian, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said. FHP has not confirmed the identity of the victim.

There are low rain chances and above average temperatures in Central Florida on Saturday, Spectrum News 13 Certified Cief Meteorologist Bryan Karrick said.

A dry punch of air is making it’s way toward the area and is heading south, Karrick said.

The high today will be 79 degrees and the low will be 61 degrees.

An unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Pleasant Hill Road in the inside lane, south of Earle Court, FHP said. The pedestrian, a 78-year-old man from Kissimmee, was crossing from an unknown direction in the southbound lane on Pleasant Hill Road, midblock, not in a marked crosswalk, south of Earle Court.

FHP said the front left of the vehicle struck the man, who was pronounced dead on-scene. The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene.

FHP is searching for the vehicle involved in this fatal crash. The vehicle is possibly a 2014-2019 gray Volkswagen Passat that is believed to have front and left side damage, FHP said. It is also believed to have damage to the driver side mirror and possibly the windshield.

This is an active criminal investigation.

A 40-year-old man from Sanford was traveling westbound on State Road 46 approaching Rest Haven Road in a 2015 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck, FHP said. A 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by the Geneva man, was traveling in the same direction.

The pickup truck was behind the motorcycle, which stopped to make a left turn into a driveway, and the Sanford man failed to observe the motorcycle around 8:10 p.m. Saturday, according to FHP. As a result, the front of the pickup truck collided with the motorcycle and caused the driver and and passenger to fall off.

The 40-year-old man, identified as Michael Lawrence Thompson, was placed under arrest and booked into the Seminole County jail on two counts of DUI manslaughter, FHP said.

Shortly after the initial impact, a 2022 Ford Escape traveling eastbound on State Road 46 stopped to help, FHP said. About the same time, an 81-year-old man driving a 2020 GMC Canyon was traveling west and struck the motorcycle, which was partially in the lane, FHP said.

The driver of the Canyon then attempted to take evasive action and traveled off the roadway onto the south shoulder of S.R. 46. As a result, the vehicle collided with the left side of the Escape and then with the rear of the Chevrolet 2500.

The Sanford man and 9-year-old passenger were not transported to the hospital and remained on the scene, FHP said. The driver and passenger of the motorcycle were pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Canyon was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Upper level cloud coverage will increase in the Central Florida area, NWS said. Clouds are streaming from the northwest to the south east.
