A 52-year-old man from Merritt Island is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Orange County at 8:46 p.m. on Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The man was traveling northbound on Nova Road approaching State Road 520 in a 2008 Chevy Silverado, FHP said.
The man failed to maintain control of the pickup truck while negotiating a right-hand curve, FHP said. As a result, the pickup truck traveled off the the roadway right.
The driver then overreacted to the left and proceeded in a northwesterly direction while overturning, FHP said. The man was ejected from the Chevy Silverado and was pronounced dead on-scene.
This crash remains under investigation.
