A 21-year-old man from Port St. Lucie is dead after a single car crash in Volusia County on Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The man was traveling eastbound on Interstate-4 approaching Interstate in the outside lane in a 2013 Toyota Camry, FHP said.

For unknown reasons, the man failed to maintain the designated lane and ran off the roadway right onto the eastbound grass shoulder, FHP said. The sedan continued onto the grass shoulder and collided with a concrete pole.

The driver was pronounced dead on-scene, FHP said.

This crash remains under investigation.
