Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Taste of Space will include special menus at the attraction’s restaurants, as well as two after-hours events with astronauts, celebrity chefs and something appropriately called a Marstini.

Visitors will be able, for example, to order new items at Orbit Cafe (loaded sweet potato topped with maple cinnamon butter and bacon), Red Rock Grill (walking nachos with chili cheese and jalapenos), Milky Way (fried apple pie), Moon Rock Cafe (turkey brie wrap with arugula and cranberry mayo) and Space Bowl Bistro (roasted Brussels sprouts with cranberries, pecans, parmesan and bacon) during Taste of Space: Fall Bites, which runs Oct. 2-Nov. 5.

These restaurants are available with regular visitor-complex admission.

On Oct. 6, Taste of Space: Marstini Shake-Off will include an elevated menu at food stations inside Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex; appearances by NASA astronauts Scott Altman, Chris Ferguson and Anthony “Tony” Antonelli; and local bartenders crafting “the perfect Marstini,” which guests may sample.  Hours are 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m., and tickets are $159 per person.

On Nov. 3, Taste of Space: Celebrity Chef Edition will feature Duff Goldman (“Ace of Cakes,” “Kids Baking Championship” mentor) and Esther Choi (“Iron Chef: Quest for the Iron Legend” finalist, several Food Network shows) plus chef Jon Ashton as host. Goldman and Choi will demonstrate cooking techniques. Visitors will have exclusive menu items and the ability to hear from astronauts Anna Fisher, Bruce Melnick and Scott Altman, who will participate in the cooking demonstrations. Desserts will include a specialty cake designed by Goldman. Tickets are $175 per person. It begins at 6 p.m.
