Icon Park is planning a Community Day Celebration that will spotlight dozens of Central Florida nonprofit organizations.

Booths will be set up on the International Drive entertainment complex grounds from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. They will distribute educational materials and hold activities to promote volunteerism and community service.

There is no admission fee, and any visitor who gets stamps on their event maps from 10 booths will be able to ride The Wheel for $10. The normal price is $29.99.

“Because we live and work in the nation’s top travel destination, we’re able to share unique resources to help others and shine a bright spotlight on their missions,” Icon Park president and CEO Chris Jaskiewicz said in a news release. “Our hope is that guests come out to enjoy an afternoon of fun, learn something new, get a hometown view from sky-high — and perhaps even be inspired to volunteer this upcoming holiday season.”

On-site organizations will include charities that provide food, shelter, medical care and resources to people in need; fire and public safety groups; and sports, diversity and arts organizations.

Among the photo opportunities on Community Day will be an appearance by Orange County Fire Rescue’s fire trucks and rescue vehicles and the U.S. Army’s video game truck. The Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho Martial Arts Academy Orlando will perform, and there will be other live entertainment on Icon Park’s center stage on the lawn.
