Ticked off! @no traffic police

I’m ticked off at myself for following traffic law and following the speed limit. Meanwhile, all the people who speed and break the traffic law get rewarded by making lights and getting to work to on time and or wherever else they need to go while the rest of us wait. The chances of getting a ticket are zero so why am I following the rules when I could be at work faster or to dinner faster or home faster? I mean if the cops don’t care why should I?

I’m ticked off at all the drivers around here that don’t know how to use the center turn lane. Folks drive down them like it’s a regular lane and fast too. I’ve been a ways down from a left turn lane and had cars speed past me to get down to the turn. There are frequently businesses between where I am and the turn. Considering how fast these drivers are going, the odds of a major accident happening if someone wanted to go to one of the businesses is pretty good. I’ve almost been hit myself. Where are the traffic police when they’re needed?

I despise this time change business! It is so confusing with it getting dark so early! The winter months are depressing enough without it getting dark so early! I appreciate a pleasant outdoor walk after my dinner and it is not safe after dark!  The Sunshine State should have sunny evenings all year round!

I found out recently that not all high schools in our area have lockers for the students. These poor kids must carry all their books, notebooks, lunch, gym clothes, etc. in backpacks all day long. I fear they will all soon have back problems! I emailed the school board to no avail! Such a shame!

The flip side

A huge debt of gratitude to the Master Chef, Sherman, at Jimmy Hula’s in Winter Park. He always prepares the Primo Fish Sandwich, blackened with no cheese, due to my strict dietary requirements post heart attack. Thank you, and continue to “Charge On!”
