Foodies and wine lovers can sip and sample their way around Baldwin Park as an annual fall tradition returns.

Taste of Baldwin Park, a foodie festival for those ages 21 and older, offers bites from 45 Orlando-area restaurants included in the price of admission. The evening event, which began in 2020 and happens twice per year, returns to New Broad Street and the surrounding area on Nov. 2 with plenty of bites and beverages to sample, plus live music from The Buzzcatz.

“It’s an all-inclusive food, drink, wine and music experience. Your ticket includes everything,” said event organizer David Merritt, managing partner of Be Best Agency, LLC. “It’s a great date night, a great night out with friends or a girls’ night out.”

While far from an exhaustive list, participating restaurants include Bites & Bubbles, Infusion Tea (with all vegetarian options), Dubsdread Catering, Tabla Indian Restaurant, Firebirds, Jimmy Hula’s, Island Thyme Caribbean Grille, Better Than Sex — A Dessert Restaurant and plenty others. Guests can sip wine, spirits and beer from Tito’s, St. Petersburg Distillery, Cigar City Brewing, Crooked Can, Sanford Brewing and more.

For non-carnivores who wish to attend, several vegetarian options will be available.

As Orlando’s food scene grows, the goal of this event is to connect attendees with purveyors of quality local food and provide a fun night out.

“This is a great event to get people out to try new restaurants, new tastes and find places they want to go back as a customer,” Merritt said. “The value is definitely there. If you go out to eat and have two drinks with dinner, it’s going to cost you $75 minimum anywhere.”

Throughout 2024, Merritt and his team will partner with the City of Winter Park to offer four “jazz, taste and sip” events at the new Winter Park Events Center.

More immediately, the event organizer is preparing to host up to 1,500 people for a delightful evening of foodie fun in Baldwin Park.

“Baldwin Park is the perfect place for an outdoor event like this; it creates a great surrounding venue for the event,” Merritt said. “It’s a night to get away.”
